About Me

portrait of me

Hi I’m Steven Orloff, a Doctor of Traditional Chinese Medicine, specialising in Acupuncture. I am a graduate of both Monash and Victoria University, having degrees in Anatomy, Physiology and Chinese Medicine. I have been around Traditional Chinese Medicine since my teenage years, developing a keen interest in how an ancient medicine is so effective in treating modern ailments. Through the course of my practice I have had the opportunity to treat players from the Western Bulldogs Football Club, giving me great insight into treating sports injuries.

I am Registered Acupuncturist with the Chinese Medicine Registration Board of Victoria (CMRB) and am also a member of the Australian Acupuncture and Chinese Medicine Association (AACMA).

My interest started about 15 years ago when I began training in Chinese Kung Fu at the age of 14.  My Dai Sifu (the Title of the Headmaster of my school), is a master acupuncturist and herbalist for over 30 years.  Through the course of my martial arts training I have had to learn basic Chinese Medicine theory to complete assignments related to my gradings.  Over the years my interest and passion in the medicine grew and I began studying it at university.  During this time I became the apprentice of my Dai Sifu and have followed him around in his clinic for years watching and learning under his expert tutelage.
